The actor sets the stage for the adaptation, in the form of a monologue, made by Fernando Fernán Gómez of the Spanish picaresque novel Picaresque. Rafael Álvarez "El Brujo" gets back under the skin of one of the most emblematic characters in Spanish literature, Lazarillo de Tormes. Published in 1554, the anonymous novel is written in the first person and epistolary. The adaptation of the text, turned into a naked monologue, with a single actor on stage, was signed by the great Fernando Fernán Gómez. And it has been more than a quarter of a century since Rafael Álvarez "El Brujo" represents the work around the world. The production was already performed at the Teatre-Auditori in 1994, and we have also been able to enjoy other acclaimed shows of El Brujo, such as La sombra del Tenorio by José Luis Alonso de Santos and El contrabajo by Patrick Süskind. A must for theatre lovers!
